  Device Under Test (DUT)

[ back ] [ next ]

The DUT is an RF chip that has four separate conversion paths.

  • 2.4GHz receiver to base-band I&Q
  • 5.8 GHz receiver to base-band I&Q
  • base-band I&Q to 2.4 GHz transmitter
  • base-band I&Q to 5.8 GHz transmitter

The chip also contains synthesizers and PLL circuitry, gain control, and output power control. The chip operates at 3.3v. The chip is mounted on a load board for evaluation, and this will be similar

for the final application where the functional testing will be performed on a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA). Interface to the load board is through a PCMCIA type connector at the board edge, and SSLB connectors for antennae.
